Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (Heavy metal test)
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) – Level 2
The HTMA Level 2 test from InterClinical Laboratories provides a comprehensive look at your body’s mineral balance and toxic element exposure. This functional test measures essential minerals (such as magnesium, zinc, calcium, sodium, and potassium) as well as toxic heavy metals (like mercury, lead, and cadmium), giving valuable insight into adrenal, thyroid, and metabolic health.
It helps assess how well your body regulates energy, stress, and detoxification — and can reveal imbalances contributing to fatigue, anxiety, hormonal changes, or slow metabolism.
How it’s done:
A small sample of hair (around one teaspoon, cut close to the scalp) is collected and sent to InterClinical Laboratories for analysis. The sample must be clean and free of dyes, oils, or conditioners.
Turnaround time:
Results are generally available within 2–3 weeks from receipt at the lab.
Please note:
This test measures mineral levels and toxic elements but does not include a naturopathic consultation. A separate appointment is required to interpret results and create a personalised treatment plan.
