How Do You Clean The Blanket?
Cleaning is as simple as cleaning your yoga mat. Lay the blanket out flat and wipe down with a towel to remove the sweat. We then recommend spraying with a natural cleaning spray.
How Does HEM Differ From A Regular Infrared Sauna?
Your HEM blanket uses the same heating technology as an infrared sauna, emitting far infrared wavelengths. The experience is much the same, but sauna while lying down instead of sitting up in a traditional box sauna. Our inner part of the blanket is made from a much safer material, solvent free PU. Many sauna blanket brands claim to be non-toxic but our research found through the manufacturing process (wanting the safest materials only, as we deal with a lot of chronic health issues), that most brands use PVC. PVC, or polyvinyl chloride, can release toxic substances when heated or burned, such as hydrogen chloride gas and dioxins, which are known carcinogens. Additionally, PVC products may contain additives like phthalates, lead, and cadmium, which can leach out and pose health hazards.

AFTER 15 MINUTES

THE BEST OF SCIENCE & NATURE
We started with inspiration from NASA and selected a premium Amide Fabric, similar to what gets used for an astronaut’s spacesuit or a firefighters uniform. It’s light weight, durable and heat resistant.
Next, we added a full layer of flat jade and tourmaline stone. These stones are excellent conductors of infrared heat and emit negative ions when warmed up. Plus, it just feels amazing laying on top of a bed made out of smooth jade and tourmaline stone!
Then we have a layer of certified non-toxic PVC to ensure the Heat Healer is waterproof with an additional layer of Faraday Shielding underneath. The Faraday Shield is what blocks out magnetic fields (EMFs), thereby creating a more natural experience.
Finally, we have our premium infrared heating element which is wrapped in soft insulating cotton for extra comfort.
